Obviously the alcohol has effected his mind and the ability of rational thinking , all those years on the Police force and to throw away his pension and retirement , 6 months away !! “ Actions speak louder than words “ I believe his “ Actions “ have spoke for him ....

@Karmabites Due process is a constitutional right I am sure he will be held accountable Sounds like you were personally adversely affected by his awful choices. If so I am sorry you were harmed in any way....his day in court will come —-may you find peace with that

Yes I was and I’m still paying for his awful choices , I’m his ex wife and his drinking has damaged and tore apart the family to the point that there is no return , I am paying the ultimate price of not only losing everything I physically own , but to be drug into a custody battle and our daughter living in another state because I didn’t have $40,000 to fight it in court , he was facing jail for violating court orders for 11 years , he kept drinking and said no one will believe me because he wears a uniform and a badge , a pro bono lawyer refused to help me . I haven’t seen or spoke to my daughter since 2014 ... It literally almost cost me my life , i filed police reports with Pearland and Alvin Police dept. back in 2010 , but I was referred to as a scorned ex wife trying to get her ex husband fired. I was trying to protect my child , the courts took it out on me to be the villain and he continues to drink . There wasn’t and isn’t any justice for me ....

Thank you for your kind words of hope , right now it’s very hard I recently lost my mother to cancer on top of everything else . Yes I am angry because the courts failed me and so did the police department , they put him through A.A. they should have made him take random drug and alcohol testing knowing his history and knowing his supervisor had seen his drinking first hand

I thank you kindly , I take one day at time now , I thank you for lending an ear , it helps to let people know my side of the story and just how alcohol destroys not only the addicted person but the family , I don’t think I’ll see my only child for years to come and possibly never , but I pray that God will give me strength to hope

since the Department posted on social media and Had Deborah Wrigley report his arrest , can’t get any information about current status , I guess internal affairs needs a little more convincing , so since I still have my documentation , my reports I made to the Pearland and Alvin Pd , about his drinking and driving telling all what Michael put me through before his sister came and filed court Affidavit telling the courts about his alcohol problem , the letter from my daughters evaluation from a physiologist .. etc I’m going to send this stuff to Deborah Wrigley and see what she has to say, he has his own sister believing that his arrest was a set up , I had the sheriffs department do welfare checks on my daughter because she would call me crying and terrified because he was passed out drunk fell down and knocked himself out , but because his patrol unit sat in his driveway the only thing I got was “ everything “ is ok ... No one would help me , I was fighting a Police Wall , I couldn’t even get a pro bono lawyer to help me , he violated court orders , he got nothing , his lawyer made me out to be the scorned ex-wife trying to get him fired from his job , making false accusations against him to Pearland Pd, but no one stopped to think and realize I was a mother trying to protect her child as any parent in their right mind would do , but a blind eye was turned on that , the courts failed me and the Pearland Pd failed me as well , they knew he had a problem but yet they did nothing to monitor him , if they would have given him random drug testing to help keep him on tract then my life wouldn’t be torn to pieces and my daughter would be here with me , so I ask what kind of justice is this for a mother ? Who is monitoring the officers with these addictions ? Michael could have killed my only child , I thank God for the Pearland Officer that had the values , the morales and the courage to stand up and do the right thing , I know it’s a hard thing to do to a fellow officer but my God what if Michael would have killed an innocent person out on the streets that he swore to protect and serve and uphold the laws ? He arrested people for the same law he violated on a constant daily basis , No one has yet to this very day come to me to say “ I’m sorry you were right , Michael is an alcoholic and needs help “ ... No one can accuse me of trying to get him fired , I think he has done that all on his own and I will say “ Thank You Michael “ after all these years in a constant battle with you about the alcohol abuse you have proven me right to those you had believing that I was a scorned ex wife trying to make your life hell , I’m thankful I was smart enough to divorce you because I won’t be there to see you when you take that one final drink that takes your life . You always said that you wouldn’t stop drinking for me , our daughter or anyone , but you will when death comes knocking at your door , you have nothing else left to destroy except yourself ....,

Amen... I have been going through the same thing with my son for over 10 years. The only difference is my ex is an electrician whose father used to be a Houston police officer 40 years ago. Of course now he teaches criminal law and knows a lot of officers. My ex was very abusive and took prescription medicines and drink alcohol on a regular basis. When he beat me up severely and I called the police they were all laughing and being friendly with him and we're on his side and threatened to take me to jail. Took my child kicked me out of the house barefooted without even my purse or so much as a quarter in change and filed a protective order on me the next morning and took my son from me. Nobody listen to me even though I had 18 Witnesses to his abuse. Because I didn't have a lawyer and you cannot get a lawyer for family court he got custody of my son and has been hard harboring him from me Since the court date over 10 years ago. I've seen him maybe four or five times in 10 years. Briefly at his discretion. He moved to Pearland. Since then he has gotten a DWI in Pearland. And I could go on and on About the drinking and the effects it has had on my son. I I'm trying my best to bring the situation to light but it is very very difficult as no one wants to believe the unfit mother, Unfit because he says I am. please call Deborah Wrigley with this I am on your side if anybody else isn't. Maybe because my story wasn't highly-publicized. the first court date I knew I was going to lose when his father walked up and shook a well-known high-profile Harris County attorneys hand. it's sick V things that the court gets away with. Because of how much money you have or who you know. My hats off to you I'm sorry you had to go through this because it has been absolute hell from me. Having my baby stripped from me legally kidnapped, and put in a household that I know Would be treacherous and have many effects on him, and 10 years later it has. I'm not giving up I'm still fighting for my baby and I always will.

Wanted to add that all the attorneys involved and this case are Pearland attorneys and knew exactly what they were turning a child over too. They knew him and had plenty of proof to what he was before the judge made the decision for my live with him. Even though I had joint custody . he is still making false accusations against me 10 years later. Even though he came to my house with his new girlfriend totally drunk on my son's birthday and I filed a complaint with the Brazoria County Sheriff's Department. I'm hoping and praying that all situations like this come to light. How many women have been labeled as unfit mothers and had their children's stolen from them and their lives Totally ripped apart. The court system is just that it's a court system. I would never call it a justice system.
