My son knows the boy, not very well, but he will likely hear something. I'll try to remember to come back and post an update. I know we are all concerned and would love to hear that this ends well.

@Marshalldillin63 I do also. Its so terrible that "any" person reaches a point that they want to end their life but just seems worse when it's a young person. So much to live for. As bad as things are around us there is so much more good happening. It's just that the bad is louder and people amplify it.

@Marshalldillin63 One of the kids who knows him a little bit said he heard that he was still in critical condition, but he does not know if the boy is still on life support.

@Dorothy Thanks for the update. I ask my son every day, and he hasn't heard anything. At least that means the family's privacy is being respected, and they are able to focus on their son, not all the Nosey Nellies.

Another update from the Dawson 10th graders facebook page.He is able to breathe on his own, has no spinal damage as done by the mri. Someone else on the page heard that he is reading and talking.
