As crime goes up with unemployment it makes me think of a scene from the movie THE BIG SHORT most of the stuff Michael burry says these days gets deleted on twitter but this part rings true.
@Blackbird : Broad is a different street but still not the best of neighberhoods. I go that way to work and was raised in the area. Not a surprise to hear gun shots now and again...sad.

@Stealth83 : I use the Citizen App. It's only shown Pearland a few times. I've seen a lot more activity on Scarsdale & the gulf freeway as well as Beamer & Scarsdale area. It's getting to parts of clear lake/league city/Friendswood.
Late one afternoon, DD and I took Peanut to the pediatrician on the west side. It was dusk by the time we got out, and started home. We had some shortcuts we took all the time. That night, we took a wrong turn. Not sure where we were, but it was not a place we needed to be. Traffic was slow. "Ladies" were walking out to cars, talking to men through the open windows. Sometimes they got in the car, sometimes not. A couple of people walked out offering us small bags. I don't know what was in them, because I didn't open the windows. As soon as possible, I made a U-turn and headed back the way we came. I was quite happy to see a freeway that night. Now, I don't know which is safer. Cut across town, or stick to freeways.
