@cocosmom : Uh, as I stated above, Beagles, no matter what size, shed. Does she have a name yet?

I was thinking, if I had named Chloe, she might have been Polly Pure Heart(Underdog's girlfriend).

Is there such a thing as a whole house vacuum? One that sucks out the dirt, but leaves the stuff I want?

Our Yorkshire terrier never sheds. That's one less worry that I have. Dogs are worth it. If you think dogs shed, humans do too. My family's hair falls all over and I just broom and clean. That's what family and furry friends are for. I don't mind the hair since we all have shedding in some form or another. 😜

I was thinking about getting a robot vacuum to help with dog hair, is it worth trying?

@MalluGuy : With the amount of dog hair we have? No. It just didn't work out. I spent so much time emptying it, it wasn't worth it. My daughters wanted to know what I did with it. I told them "someone left the door open too long, it saw a chance, and ran for the hills. Haven't seen it since."

@susieq : That is exactly what I was afraid of. None of the robot vacs seem to have a dustbin big enough for all the hair it would pick up. The next thing I was worried about was the rollers getting tangled up with my wife's long hair. The ones that are self emptying are ridiculously priced and not sure that would even work well.

There is a really cool gadget that will vacuum up what you sweep up. The people who cut my hair have one. They just sweep the hair over in front of it, it turns itself on, and vacuums up all the hair. Even in their shop they only have to empty it once a day. I start the day by sweeping, then I use a dust mop, and then I vacuum the floors. No carpet in my house, just a couple of area rugs and one of them is a Ruggable, it gets thrown in the washer and dryer weekly.
