The
Brazoria County Sheriff's Office and Crime Stoppers are looking for any information that might help them catch a suspect who attempted to kidnap a 15-year-old female near Alvin over the weekend.
According to reports from BCSO, on Sunday, December 2, 2018, at approximately 9:20 PM, the
Brazoria County Sheriff's Office responded to the intersection of CR 392 and CR 185 in the Alvin area of
Brazoria County in reference to an attempted abduction.
It was discovered that the victim, a 15-year-old white female, had been jogging in the 4800 block of CR 392 when she was approached by who she describes as a Hispanic male with a medium complexion, in his late teens to early twenties, about 5'6"-5'10" in height and weighing approximately 150-170 lbs. The suspect was also said to have no hair, a groomed black goatee and was reported to have brown eyes.
At the time of the incident the suspect was wearing a black hoodie jacket, gray sweatpants and was wearing black Nike shoes with white bottoms. The suspect was driving an early 2000's model Chevrolet Silverado truck described as a tan color 4 door. The truck was said to have the bed of the truck sitting lower than the front of the truck and is believed to have Texas license plates.
The 15-year-old victim reported that the male suspect stopped and got out of the truck and wrapped his arms around her. She began to scream for help and was able to fight the suspect off when they fell to the ground. The suspect was said to have fled in the Chevrolet pickup truck traveling South on CR 392 then turning East on CR 184.
