On Monday, January 29, 2018, a new detour will be set up along East Orange Street, in addition to the current one-way only traffic detour from Old Alvin Road to Park Avenue on the north side of the roadway.

Just west of Park, one-way westbound traffic will be routed to the south side of the street, and then back to the north side before the Houston Avenue intersection, after which the street is two-way to SH 35.
Duration is anticipated to be approximately 8 weeks and is weather dependent.
Additional Traffic Advisories will be published as warranted to inform the public of new developments on the project, including changes in traffic circulation patterns as the work progresses. Please obey all construction zone signs and flaggers, and be aware of construction equipment and personnel within the work zone. The City urges drivers to exercise extreme caution when driving in this area.
