Outstanding DWI enforcement-Pearland Police Officer R. Milner & Officer Baggett
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration there are about 28 people killed each day across the U.S. by drunk drivers. The toll this takes on family, friends, and community is tremendous. In 1980, Candice Lightner started the non-profit Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) in 1980 after her daughter was killed by a drunk driver. Each year local MADD affiliations take time to recognize police officers who are not exemplify a strong commitment to DWI enforcement and who go above and beyond in the areas of education, prevention, and enforcement.
This year the Pearland Police Department had two officers recognized for their outstanding DWI efforts, Officer R. Milner and Officer A. Baggett. On behalf of the public, thank you both for your efforts in DWI enforcement.
