Celebrate the holiday season this December with the City of Pearland. Hometown Christmas festivities include their annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, Parade and Festival of Lights presented by Second Baptist Church. They will also introduce Blitzen’s Bazaar, a holiday-themed market where visitors can shop for holiday gifts sold and crafted by local vendors.

Kicking off Pearland’s spectacular holiday season is the Blitzen’s Bazaar market and Hometown Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, Dec. 2nd. Stop by Blitzen’s Bazaar from 9 a.m.- 9 p.m. at Independence Park to get a head start on Christmas gifts and decorations.

The Hometown Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. at Independence Park. Activities include the H-E-B's Winter Wonderland, live entertainment on the main stage, a visit from Santa Claus and a Christmas themed firework show proudly presented by University of Houston Clear Lake – Pearland. Parking for the event is at Pearland High School, 3775 S Main St.

The next day, on Saturday, Dec. 3rd, join them for the 40th annual Hometown Christmas Parade at 6 p.m. This parade is more than just floats! You can expect to see marching bands, dance teams, classic cars, lights galore and much more. This year the parade will travel east from Old Alvin Rd to Pearland Parkway across Broadway/FM 518. Visit here www.parks.pearlandtx .gov/special-events/ hometown-christmas-f estival/parade to enter a float. The deadline to apply is Friday, Nov. 11th.

The celebrations don’t stop there! All month long you can stop by Independence Park between 6- 9 p.m. to enjoy Hometown Christmas Festival of Lights presented by Second Baptist Church. The exhibit is free and open to the public, so make sure to stop by more than once with family and friends from Dec. 2nd- 24th to experience giant displays and illuminated sculptures.

All events are family friendly and free to attend. Let's enjoy the holiday magic together. For more information visit www.parks.pearlandtx .gov/special-events/ hometown-christmas-f estival/tree-li

@TownHubAdmin: Thank you for all the good information. I'm so looking forward to the Parade. Last year's parade was the first time I've been out since COVID started.I haven't missed one yet.🥰

Thank you for the information. I did not get to go to the lights last year, so I am so glad they are doing it again this year. I love it when people do things to give other people pleasure and joy.
