It also includes data and analysis that is informed by the local community, best practices, and development trends that relate to many facets of the city. This project is to update the 2015 Pearland Comprehensive Plan. They will compile all of this information to help them evaluate Pearland's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges.*Community Visioning - Who do they want to be?During this stage, they will host visioning sessions and will come to you in the community to get your ideas! Your feedback will help create a community-supported, unified vision to shape the future of the City. They hope you will share your ideas of what you think Pearland could be over the coming years.*Current Phase-Design Solutions - What do they need to do to achieve the vision?Once they understand Pearland and the challenges the City faces, they will work together to think of solutions that move Pearland closer to an envisioned future. *Draft Strategies - How do they do that?Using your ideas for the future of Pearland, they will create strategies and an action plan for how to realistically achieve the vision. These strategies will be reviewed with Pearland's elected and appointed leadership as well as the public to inform the full draft plan. *Adoption - Let's go!A Public Hearing will be held to consider final adoption of the Comprehensive Plan. The Comprehensive Plan will be presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission for comment prior to its adoption at City Council.
