Back in the "olden days," I worked with a bunch of friends from all over the US with animal rescue. We met through the animal board on e-Bay, and transported quite a few animals. One person was really working with cats, and she drove to a kill shelter in Georgia on a regular basis to pull cats and kittens. Another one drove from Canada to take a Beagle. Countless others were transported all over the country and Canada. One woman's husband was a truck driver, he took several animals into Canada. So many puppies went from high kill shelters in the South, to other states and cities that seemed to have a shortage. We couldn't solicit funds, so when something was up someone would start a "salad," to raise money for expenses. I am still friends with many of these people, can't say I have really helped with transporting in a while. Chloe was my last transport, and will probably be my last.
