2 dogs tied outside of Pearland Animal Shelter

These two sweet pups were found tied outside the front door of their building this morning. They have been brought in and given plenty of food, water, and blankets for warmth. If anyone has any information on this incident, please give them a call at 281-652-1970.

@PearlandDotCom : This is a very mean thing to do. If for some reason they can't keep the dogs take them to the shelter. Don't just tie them up there. Shame on those owners. But it is better than hurting them.

Why does everyone assume the worst? Maybe this person was driving to work, saw these dogs running loose, captured them, drove to the animal shelter, and... finding it closed, left them tied to the front door.
Any number of possibilities for this person doing the best they could while trying to look out for the best interests of these dogs.
Not everyone is evil in this world. Look for the good and you will find it.

I think the person who left the puppies had good intentions, at least they were not abandoned in the streets. A lot of shelters try their best not to accept strays and ask the person who found the dog to keep it and that's not always possible.

@MalluGuy : Exactly what I was going to say, around here they're just tossed out the door to fend for themselves.

It use to be that if you brought a dog to the Animal Shelter they would charge you for accepting it. At least they use to. I don't know if their criteria has changed. Maybe the person could not afford to pay the fee. At least they were trying to help the pups.
