If you are interested in adopting start by filling out their adoption application online at their website: www.pearlandtx.gov/d epartments/animal-se rvices

Their staff will get to work right away processing it. While most applications can be processed the same day in some cases it may take up to 2 days to complete. If you want to know where you are in the process, please give them a call at 281-652-1970.

After being approved they will schedule your own curbside adoption appointment. Should the pet you meet be a perfect fit for you and your family, they would go home with you that day. They would also have all their age appropriate shots and a microchip. They have also waived all adoption fees!

Pearland Animal control does their best to get dogs and cats adopted or have rescues come and take them. We had first hand experience with a dog we had picked up by them and they secured a rescue to take him and he is doing fine with his foster and waiting for his forever home.

Does anyone know if the shelter is allowing volunteers to come in and help? Of course they always accept donations but wondering if they are allowing volunteers with the COVID restrictions?
