Pearland Pets - Animal Services’s holiday story to remember
Honey came into their shelter on December 8, 2020 after being found a block away from the shelter. Although she had a microchip and information on her collar linking her to a family, they were never able to reunite as they did not come to pick her up. Immediately they got to work and got her to see a vet to find out she had double ear infections, skin infection, and severe arthritis in her back legs. As the days leading up to Christmas, they reached out to find her a new home. She spent the holidays with one of their staff members as part of their foster program, snuggled in blankets and playing with kids. Luckily, Lizzy’s Hospice Rescue answered the call for a permanent home and agreed to help meet them halfway for transport on Sunday. She is now with her new forever family and they couldn’t have asked for a better holiday miracle. Thank you for rescuing!
