The City's contractor, Triple B Services, LLC, will begin construction of the Hughes Ranch Rd. Widening Project on Wednesday, April 24, 2019. Construction is expected to be complete within approximately twenty-four (24) months.
This project will include the reconstruction of Hughes Ranch Road from Smith Ranch Rd. to Cullen Blvd. The roadway will be widened to a four lane roadway with a raised median, curbs and gutters, underground storm system, traffic signals at Miller Ranch Rd. and Bryant Ct., illumination, sound wall in predetermined areas along the alignment, and a mixed use walking path. The work will close a single lane of traffic on a rolling basis.
The Hughes Ranch Rd. Widening Project will enhance safety and improve access to adjacent subdivisions as well as provide direct access to the State Highway 288 Toll Lanes by way of the T-Ramp intersection being built by the Toll Lane project. The new roadway also improves access and traffic safety for Challenger Elementary and Dawson High School.
Project activities are weather permitting and subject to change. Drivers should be aware of heavy equipment and construction personnel in the vicinity of the work site, and be prepared for the possibility of minor delays due to the construction work. This work however, will not interfere with access to any surrounding properties or businesses.
Please obey all construction zone signs and flaggers. The City urges drivers to exercise extreme caution when driving in this area.
