Pearland Traffic Alert - 9/13/18
The City of Pearland has announced that a portion of Bailey Road will be closed for a few weeks for panel replacement stating this coming Monday.
The City's contractor, Texas Sterling, will be conducting pavement panel replacement activities along the eastbound lanes of Bailey Rd between Berry Rd and McLean Rd as a result of findings from the 1-yr warranty inspection. Replacement of these panels will provide a more uniform surface finish and eliminate pitting present in some sections.
To accomplish this work, eastbound Bailey will be closed to through traffic between Berry Rd and McLean Rd starting on Monday, September 17, 2018 through Friday, October 5, 2018 (weather permitting). During this time, driveways within the closure zone will remain accessible from west bound Bailey Rd.
Traffic traveling eastbound on Bailey Road will be detoured south at Berry Rd to CR 100. From there motorists can continue eastbound on CR 100 to McLean Rd. At McLean, turning left (northbound) will bring motorists back to Bailey Rd where they can continue eastbound.
Project activities are weather dependent and subject to change. Drivers should be aware of heavy equipment and construction personnel in the vicinity of the worksite, and be prepared for minor delays resulting from the construction work. This work however, should not interfere with access to any surrounding properties or businesses. The City urges all drivers to please exercise caution while in the area and obey all traffic controls and flaggers.
