On Monday August 27, 2018, East Walnut Street between South Houston Avenue and Old Alvin Road will be closed to eastbound traffic. The road will be ONE WAY ONLY WESTBOUND as the City's Contractor, SER Construction Partners, begins installation of drainage infrastructure and pavement repairs on the east side of the roadway. This task is necessary to allow for proposed storm drainage infrastructure to be constructed and provide inundation relief in this region.Please see detour map (above) for alternate routes and detour signs that will assist in navigating the affected area. Please obey all construction zone signs and flaggers, and be aware of construction equipment and personnel within the work zone.
