The SH 288 southbound U-Turn lane at FM 518 (Broadway Street) will be closed to traffic daily from 7am-5pm starting on October 23, 2017 through November 13, 2017 (weather permitting)This work should not interfere with access to any surrounding properties or businesses. This will not prevent Left Turning traffic movements on to FM 518 (Broadway).Drivers should be prepared for minor delays along the southbound feeder lanes resulting from this closure.Also, on Monday, October 9, 2017, traffic on Linwood will be directed one-way only from Old Alvin toward E. Orange on the south side of the roadway. This will allow the contractor to install the drainage system on the north side of the roadway, and then to follow with paving operations. This traffic pattern is anticipated to be necessary for approximately two months.Additional Traffic Advisories will be published as warranted to inform the public of new developments on the project, including changes in traffic circulation patterns as the work progresses. Please obey all construction zone signs and flaggers, and be aware of construction equipment and personnel within the work zone.
