For the 13th consecutive year, Coppinger Family YMCA is collecting school supplies to help Pearland Independent School District students get set for the new school year.
From July 11 - Aug. 11, Coppinger YMCA invites the community to donate backpacks and school supplies for students who might otherwise start classes unprepared.
Community members may help in two ways:
1. Drop off new backpacks and school supplies July 11 - Aug. 11 at Coppinger YMCA, 2700 YMCA Drive.
OR drop off at Crosspoint Church, H-E-B (288 and Pearland Parkway), Memorial Hermann Pearland, New Hope Church (288 and Friendswood campuses), Pearland Pediatrics and Ref-Chem.
2. Visit the Coppinger YMCA during operating hours throughout the drive to helps sort and stuff backpacks.
Suggested donations for Pearland ISD students include. . . .
•Sandwich- and gallon-size plastic bags
•Lunch bags
•Hand sanitizer and facial tissue
•Play dough
•Paper towels and plates
•Writing tablets and notebooks
•Index cards
•Pens and pencils
•Construction paper
