@Magnolia832 : ALL auto insurance companies have raised rates. Best advice is to compare and to ask your car maintenance shop how certain insurers handle repairs after an accident - that tells a lot. 🚗
@Magnolia832 : I feel the USAA increase. But, I have been with them for years and have always had create service when needed so I choose to stay. I also use them for homeowner's insurance, pet insurance, some banking, etc., so I get a slight discount. But it still kills me every month to pay the bill.
@Magnolia832 : My insurance went up so I found it cheaper somewhere else. After 6 months when it was time to renew, my old insurance company was the same price as the new one so I went back to the original company.
@Km6464 : Yeap. I've been with one on the above list for decades. It's more important to me as to how if involved in an accident(Lord forbid) the car repair and whose at fault(lawyer comes in).
My car repair family says parts are still hard to get in good time and some insurance companies demand 'used' parts to be installed.
@Txtoast : We really like the insurance agency that we have been with for many years. Unfortunately, they had no control over the price increase. They are the ones that suggested we change for six months and then come back for a quote. Coming back as a new customer gave us a better rate. I would think existing customers would get the best rates but like many other services, the new customer gets the better price.
@Km6464 : I was thinking about that, new customer offerings. Good you took the advice and saved money. The auto insurance companies are being looked over, due to record high profits last year, 2023. 📏 We will see - stay tuned.
@Jellybean : I have been with State Farm for over 30 years. I am very happy with my rates compared to what others pay for less coverage. I have an umbrella policy on top of our 250/500/100 coverage. I have four vehicles with full coverage. A male driver under 20, a sports car, and all vehicles are V8 powered. You can't compare just the monthly rate, you have to also compare and understand your coverage. Texas state minimum coverage amount's will not be enough if you get into a major multi car accident. People are waiting in line to sue you for all you have!!! Believe it or not our rates did not go up much when we added our son to our policy a few years back compared to the horror stories I have heard from other parents after adding a child.
I've had AllState since 1989. Seriously. I go out and get quotes, but they never beat my rate. My first agent retired, so did the guy who took over his franchise. Then he retired, I've literally outlived the first two of my agents and I'm now on my third. I signed up while I still lived in Dallas, and never switched, because I like them, their office and their policies.
