Today is a busy day for me. I am having a party tomorrow, as one of my neighbors after 24 years of living in our community is moving. So many of us know her so I am just inviting neighbors and very few others. Sure hate to see her leave but the couple that bought her house had lived here in the community at one time. So I do know and like her.

I know what you mean. Have had several long-time neighbors move to the Hill Country to be closer to kids, want a more relaxed lifestyle, etc. Hopefully, you can still stay in touch.
Always wanted to buy a bunch of property and have friends build their homes there. Alas that never happened. BUT, I can still VISIT them!

@Megyn1: it's always hard to see good neighbors leave. Being military all my life you kinda get use to it.

@Patty18 : My old neighborhood was rather transient. Never really got to know too many neighbors. Worked during day and stayed in house or privacy fenced yard weekends. Glad I moved when I quit working🎉🎉

It is always sad to see a good neighbor move. One of the bad parts is not knowing who you will get as a new neighbor. I'm glad you know and like the new neighbor and will be able to keep in touch with your neighbor that is moving.
