I made my first pie! I'm not a baker, but was feeling the need to try something new. It turned out to be delicious and a lot easier to make than I thought. It's blueberry!

Fantastic! It's beautiful and I'm sure it WAS delicious! I love baking pies - in fact, I'm making 3 of them today - Chocolate Meringue, Lemon Meringue, and Chocolate Pecan.

Very impressive! I've always used refrigerated pie crusts when making pies until very recently. I made from scratch pie crusts for the first time this past winter and they turned out pretty good. My favorite pies are buttermilk and pumpkin. Emoticon

@Km6464: I don't know about that, but I'm grateful I didn't make a mess of it. Watching the cooking shows helps!

@Acg7707 : No judgement here, but I find Beat Booby (oops) a bit demeaning. He's a professional, shows up in an amateur's backyard, and gives him a challenge. Strangely, 2 out of the 3 epis I've seen B failed, but I also am not fond of his food profiles. I know, 'reality' tv, but if you learned to bake that from him, more power to you! Just curious what you find enlightening about that show? I watch a lot of cooking shows too, but gravitate towards the ones that teach you skills.
