cocosmom : Safety issues are why we have a camper. I can make sure what we eat, and how it is cooked. I don't have to worry about anyone getting sick, and I know how often I clean sheets and blankets. We bought it after my husband's transplant, all of these things were a real safety issue for him. Several years ago, we were at Disney, and one of the kids got sick in the middle of the night. We ended up having to call housekeeping, and when the lady came, she made a funny remark. "You know, the last two times people have stayed in this room, their kids have gotten sick in the middle of the night." We went to an er, and got prescriptions. Another child got sick on the way home, and the third waited till we got home. Made me wonder how clean that room really was, and it was at one of the resorts.
@susieq : Indeed I feel safer in my element. One time DA and I were baby sitting 3 very small children at there home. I went to put them to bed and the sheets were clearly fifths! I mentioned it to their Mom when she got home, a friend of mine-and she remarked that my priorities are different than hers! I was blown away!! She would leave the babies alone and have me go check in on them, which I never agreed to. Always took them home with me it stayed at her house.
