@didibenedetti : You will love it. We did see the broadway version with my dd when we lived in Chicago. It's a wonderful show. I am sure PHS did a great job since their theater department is quite good.
The production was amazing! The set alone was off the charts! And the choreography and voices were incredible. Definitely worth the $12. My daughter was audio tech her 4 years of high school and we miss going to the shows. Her school had an amazing theater but no where near the budget these people had. Highly recommend seeing it if you are in to musical theater. My husband would've committed hara-kiri though lol. He does NOT like musicals.
Sometimes amateur productions can be amazing. I have seen "Best Little *****house in Texas" on stage six times. The original production was the best, but next best was a local production here in San Marcos. On the other hand, the very worst of them was done here at Texas State U. Recently, though, I saw "Cabaret" at Tx. St. and it was terrific. The best production I ever saw of "The Glass Menagerie" was at Austin High School, in Austin, many years ago.
@PHS1954 : I disagree. I have read TS Eliot's Book of Practical Cats and find the songs about the naming of cats quite interesting. I like McCavity the Mystery Cat. There are other songs I like as well.
The production was wonderful!! The high schoolers did a great job! If you do get a chance to see it, go!! Three more dates; 24th, 25th, & 26th. The general admission sets were fine sets.
