@susieq : That is not a bad idea at all. I don't really understand how a parent can forget they have a child, but at least that makes sure it doesn't happen....
That's an interesting theory, and this isn't the first time I've seen it. Even in my younger days I used to put my car keys in the freezer with my lunch, so I wouldn't forget it. But a lunch just means a trip to fast food, not something as important as a child....
Ft Worth is the better side of Dallas, and a lot dryer than here. Hotter too, but easier to take. I'm not the only one who hopes you keep checking in occasionally....
Sounds like you'll have a good time.
I once went to a Catholic women's retreat, and the rules said 'no alcohol'. I was the only one who didn't pack my own fifth of something, and no one would share. But they did drive me to the liquor store and back....
@NJ99221 : It's referring to the state of the Jeeps themselves, but the women aren't discouraged.
That poor deputy, unless s/he is young and strong, those are injuries that can you leave you permanently affected.
As a totally personal complaint, abc13's website is worse than some of the click bait sites I get roped into reading, the ads just take over....
I feel for the independent truckers out there, trying to make a living. At least if I go somewhere it's my choice. I put $10 in the other day, it was barely 2.5 gallons, I think it was $4.20 but I was there and didn't feel like searching for something cheaper. I'll be on the lookout next time, though, so I can fill up....
Scary! And you're right, I looked up 45 and Broadway, and it's labeled S Houston on the map.
As for the ladies of the all-hours, I live right in The Track of world wide fame, so it's fairly common to see them on the main roads....
@MalluGuy : I was about to say, I recently read something about a husband who got pics of what he was supposed to buy, but couldn't remember the source. Now I remember! Smart lady, your wife....
I'm another who keeps the thermostat at about 78, but I do it year round. I also have my 'store' hoodie, which lives in a box in my trunk. I pull it out anytime I walk into a store, and grocery stores are the worst! Commercial bizs here keep the temp inside too cold, but they're asking us to use less energy!...
