Sports Clinics For Pearland Athletes
High school and junior high school athletes who may be a little sore following a Friday night football game or a Saturday morning soccer game won’t have to wait until Monday to see a doctor. Memorial Hermann Pearland Hospital will be offering Saturday sports clinics beginning August 20.
“School, practice and other commitments make it difficult for many athletes to see the doctor during the week,” says James “Bubba” Wilson, outreach athletic trainer at Memorial Hermann Pearland. “Our Saturday morning clinics will allow athletes to receive timely, high-quality care so when it’s time to go back to school on Monday their treatment plan is in place and they’re on their way to getting back on the field.”
The Saturday morning clinics will run from August 20 through November 5 during the hours of 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. The clinic is open for any area junior high school or high school age athlete. Patients will receive treatment on a first come, first served basis.
Full diagnostic and treatment services will be available including x-rays, splints, supports and casting. Patients will also have access to immediate imaging services including MRI through the Memorial Hermann Imaging Center-Pearland located at 10905 Memorial Hermann Drive, Suite 104, Pearland 77584. The Saturday morning clinic will be staffed by physicians who specialize in orthopedic medicine and sports medicine.
The clinic will be held at UT Physicians Orthopedics-Pearland located at 10905 Memorial Hermann Drive, Suite 130, Pearland, 77584, on the Memorial Hermann Pearland campus.
