"Hiding from humanity at home?"
I did this twice, two years in a row. I lined up some projects, bought the supplies, than took a week off and went home. I turned off my phone, slept when I wanted and cooked and ate what I wanted. It helped that I lived 5 miles outside the nearest town on a few acres, but I seriously didn't speak to anyone except my dad (Sun evening, 6pm, without fail) that entire time.
