The garage at Slim Thug's Pearland home is a car collector's dream. But when the 6-foot-6 rapper enters the room, his presence looms so large that it's hard to focus on anything else. Until he starts talking, and it's all cars, cars, cars.With a successful music career that includes 11 studio albums, an apparel brand and a YouTube channel, Houston Rapper Slim Thug's interests are diverse. But it's his private car collection, worth an estimated $1,000,000 that is his passion.

It's my main hobby," the 39-year-old told the Houston Chronicle Friday afternoon at his residence. "With all the upkeep, I am probably at the car shop more than I am at the studio."More than a dozen vehicles are housed in the garage at his Pearland home including at least one from every decade beginning with the 1950s. "I don't have a car right now that represents the 2000's right now. Don't make me go out and buy one," he says laughingly.Slim Thug's current collection includes a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air and four-door 1964 Lincoln Continental with suicide doors.A 1975 Cadillac Eldorado and 1982 Buick Riviera represent his childhood dreams, he said. "I had these cars when I was 16 years old, but trying to get the money together to take care of them was too much for a kid to handle. Now that I have a budget, I've got them how I want them."Among the other cars Slim Thug owns are a 1987 Monte Carlo with a T-top; 1994 Mercedes-Benz S600; 1995 Chevy Impala; 2017 Mercedes -Benz G-Class; 2015 RAM 1500 pickup truck; and 2019 Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV. The latter has is the most expensive vehicle in his fleet, with a starting price tag of $325,000.You'll also find two Harley-Davidson's in Slim Thug's garage including a motorcycle wrapped in velvet that's the companion to a velvet-wrapped 2018 Chevrolet Camaro."I drive all of them all, but not enough," he said. "Between rainy days and the summer heat - you can't go outside in a convertible during the summer or you'll catch on fire - I feel like Houston has 100 good days a year to drive around."
His dream car, a 1955 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible, is a far cry from the car that started it all. "I was 15 when I bought my first car, a 1960 Cadillac Hearse.
