President Trump came to bash native Texan James Talarico. All they have is petty nicknames and innuendo of his personal life because they know they won't be able to beat him on policy positions, and really if they are honest Paxton can't beat him on integrity or resolve to find solutions for problems we all face. Who disagrees with James Talarico's economic platform of addressing affordability to lower housing, health care and curb inflation? I haven't seen a plan from the Republicans to address that. How about repealing tax cuts for the top 1% of earners to help cut taxes for people that are paying a larger percentage of their income. Bans on insider trading by government officials and reducing big money influencing elections? Enacting health care reforms by breaking up vertically integrated health care companies and making pharmacy benefit managers more transparent and ensuring all people have access to healthcare as a human right, including a public health insurance option or Medicare buy-in for all Americans? It's part of his platform. Increasing renewable energy sources while working with the oil and gas industry to bring down fuel prices are there too.
Check out JamesTalarico.com for more information on his ideas on how to help more Texans live healthy and productive lives. Don't believe knee jerk politicians with no solutions to every day American's problems that spout out ad hominem attacks with no policy solutions of their own. Trump always says his health care plan is two weeks away from being rolled out. We're still waiting 10 years later. If they were going to solve the issues making it harder to make a living, they would have done it by now. There's no excuses when you are in charge of all three parts government law making bodies, there is only a lack of will to govern.

Check your voter status, register if you are not already registered and make a plan to vote and change course in the November election. We need everyone invested in solutions, not stooping to name calling and insults.

We do not need people in office that speak out of both sides of their mouth. He's a "Christian" yet he interprets the Bible to his own feelings? Are you kidding me?
He may have a problem with his "whiteness" but I definitely have a problem with him.

@CPres: I thought it was just me, because I have been watching him closely. Between this race and our city council circus my head hurts.

I have problem with white privilege, too. It is a thing. I wish it wasn't. It is the shame our country needs to address. I feel bad for people of color when I see how they are treated differently in our society. We have to recognize a problem before we can address it. James Talarico is on the right track if he sees it. I understand Jasmine Crockett's frustration, she worked hard in the primary. I hope she stays engaged. We need more young, enthusiastic politicians to address the widening economic gaps we are seeing in our society or we will all be faced with increased unrest and crime in the future. Disenfranchised groups are destabilizing to prospering societies. History has shown that many times.

I'm White. My entire local family is Black. We get along just fine. Trump is a virus. His hate permeates everything. Lake Ontario, really?
