Pearland's Citizens Police Academy Applications Now Open 
From The Pearland Police Department: We are excited to announce that applications are open for Citizens Police Academy Class #60, which will begin on Tuesday, August 19th. This free, 13-week community outreach program is a great opportunity for anyone interested in gaining a deeper understanding of police work. Class #60 will meet every Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m., and there are still spots available for those who want to join. Participants will receive instruction on various aspects of policing, including the hiring process, Investigations, K9, Drones, SWAT, and more. Please note, this is not an official police academy, but a program designed to build community relationships and provide insight into the work we do. I'm an alumni, class of 2014. This makes me consider this current class.
Spent extra time training with K9 , 3 in total, liked it very much.
Though there weren't Drones, that would be so interesting.
I encourage any Pearland resident to get involved in the class.
