Pearland Police Arrest Repeat Vehicle Burglary SuspectIn the early morning hours of October 16, 2025, Pearland Police received a Flock Safety Alert indicating that a known vehicle burglary suspect had entered the city near the 14500 block of South Freeway (SH 288 South).A night shift officer located the suspect at a nearby business in the 13900 block of South Freeway and began surveillance. The officer observed the suspect force entry into one vehicle and enter another that was unlocked.Additional officers quickly responded and strategically surrounded the suspect’s vehicle to prevent a pursuit. When the suspect refused to exit, officers deployed a Byrna Pepper Ball Gun, which gained compliance. The suspect, identified as 36-year-old Jarve Dean of Houston, was taken into custody without further incident.Dean was charged with Burglary of Vehicles – With Two or More Previous Convictions (State Jail Felony).
