Yes, winds picked up strong here. I'm wondering when an old rotted-from-the-inside hackberry tree near the ditches is going to fall over and bring a line down. Thanks for posting this. I lost all my saved pages a few weeks ago. Slowly getting them back!

I'm a toasty 72F right now, but if I lose power that will change quickly. I swear this place has 0 insulation. My thermometer is reading 23F outside right now!

We're at 24 degrees and all fine so far.

@Txtoast: 20 degrees in the East part of town. The wind is so strong. The neighbor next to my son, his dead big tree went over about 2 hrs ago. Luckily my grandson is driving the boys truck or it would have been smooshed! And it didn't hit his house! Giving prayers of thanks!

We have Pearland neighbors without power in Southdown at 5:45am Friday.
Many of the homes there have fireplaces, I hope they are fine, and power comes back on soon. (Updated 05:47 AM. Updates every 5 minutes.)

My poor furnace couldn't keep up with being set for 70 last night, and I figured I was just burning power for nothing, so I dropped it to 60 and found another blanket. That, and 3 cats and I was fine. Luckily, we're back into the 70s with the sun out today. The landlord even got the hot water working again today (it was out all day yesterday).
