Hello everyone I'm sharing some info on my experience today. I went to a Health Fair at the Pearland YMCA, it was sponsored by Davita. It was concerning kidney health, I learned a lot. My mom died from Kidney disease. It's important to take care of them. Davita offers educational classes to anyone interested, you just have to call them. I was screened and even visited with a doctor and dietitian. I got all kinds of goodies. Most of all some great information. Take care of yourself, kidney health is vital.❤️

NannyB : I had wonderfully healthy kidneys until chemo damaged them and gave me CKD . Guess that's better that the alternative of not getting chemo😬
CPres: It's called taking the bitter with the sweet. A very strong antibiotic killed my mom's kidneys. she got an infection after her hip surgery. It was one of those super bugs and things went downhill. She lived years with stage two renal failure, but the antibiotic did the damage. It was the antibiotic or die from the infection. So it was the choice to live. But the end results were renal failure , and then she refused dialysis.❤️
Txtoast: My cousin is on dialysis now and he is 61. He wants to quit, but I encourage him daily to keep going. His mom was also on dialysis before she passed. My mom refused it, because she watched her sister go through it. And that was his mom. So I have be careful. « Back to Chat
