Church Recommendations... I think I would like to get back to church after a very long hiatus. I grew up Southern Baptist, and my boyfriend was a member of the Church of Christ. Neither of us is tied to those denominations. My boyfriend is black, I am white (both in our 40s), and our 7-year-old niece attending with us is biracial. Age, racial diversity, and inclusivity are BIG for us. We are seeking a progressive, liberal minded, medium- to small-sized church (no megachurches). We want traditional hymns, not rock bands or a high focus on performance. I don't know any of the churches here in Pearland... Any ideas?

@samuelsons: I'm not a church goer, but ive heard a lot of good things about The Church on Masters Road. They just had a HUGE drone show and they frequently do stuff for the community.

@samuelsons : We love Sagemont Church. It is a large church but the people are warm and friendly. The congregation represents every age and race. The Pastor is an excellent teacher and very "down to earth". We would welcome all three of you. This Sunday is our patriotic celebration on the lawn with live music , fireworks, food trucks, and so much more. Bring a chair and join us from 5:30 - 9 pm.

@samuelsons: I hope this helps, I come from a diverse background and family. I grew up Catholic, I then changed to going to non-denominational church, I was hungry for the word of Jesus Christ. Pearland offers a wide variety of religious affiliations. The Church on Masters Road is amazing. It's big but small in its on way. Your niece would like it and you would too. I hear Crosspoint is nice place to worship also, you just need to visit a few and find what's best for you. Blessings ❤️❤️

Before I moved to Pearland from Tomball I attended Cowboy Church which is non-denominational. I don't know of any around this area however cowboy churches are very open they're inclusive and no rock and roll music and very nice if I ever found one I'd be going back
