Appliance haul off? Does anyone know how I can get a broke washer hauled off. Is there a program here where you can get it done free or with the trash pickup?
Back in California you look it up on Craigslist or something and there is 50 places willing to pay you to haul it off. Cant find anything here as easy. Thanks in advance.

@Yoshiluv The trash folks will pick it up for you! From the City of Pearland page: "Bulk Trash will be picked up at curbside on the SECOND SCHEDULED DAY. Moving boxes must be broken down and put out on this day. Bulk trash consists of appliances, furniture, mattresses, carpet, (cut in 4 foot length), lawn mowers, etc. Appliances that contain refrigerant must be drained and tagged by a certified refrigerant recycler prior to disposal. Unacceptable items include automobiles, scrap iron, heavy metal, vehicle tires, boats, car or boat motors, large tree trunks, debris from construction or renovation projects and items too heavy or bulky to be handled without specific equipment. Waste Management will not pick up oil, paint, pesticides, batteries or any material designated “HAZARDOUS†by federal, state, or local authorities."
Thanks @crazy4disney
I seen that after I posted this. Just wasn't sure how that worked and if it meant Saturday since it is the second pick up of the week or what. Plus if there was additional charges or not.
I found a lady on the Marketplace on Facebook named Debbie who actually picks them up working or not and fixes them to give to low income families. I am pretty sure she is coming tomorrow evening to get ours.

@crazy4disney Wow you sure know Pearland! 😋
Gotta dump a 50" broken plasma tomorrow then
Don't forget our recycling facility on Magnolia. They take batteries, will shred your personal papers, bills etc. as you watch. You can call them to see what they accept.
