The president keeps saying our the price of our prescriptions are coming down. I just got an EOB from Medicare that showed my Medicare D plan charged me 0 dollars for a maintenance cholesterol drug & paid the pharmacy 4 cents. So it looks like their scheme is to underpay the pharmacy to make it look like our costs came down. The pharmacy pays, at minimum 2 or 3 dollars for 90 of the generic. There are associated labor & overhead costs involved. This is not sustainable. Your local pharmacies will be going out of business at a rapid rate soon, with the attendant loss of jobs in the community.

We have no money for health care, but we can hit lots of people with million dollar bombs. Make it make sense.

This administration is not making our lives better while exposing us & our families' loved ones in the military to retaliatory actions. We will never be great again at this rate.

Let's get real on this issue. The real reason the cost of medications have been so high is huge pharmaceutical companies, that used tax payer money to develop drugs, then get decades of exclusive rights to market the medication charge exorbitant prices to the consumers. Cancer drugs are especially egregious since they also get funding from the Cancer Association to help develop these drugs, most of that funding also coming from us, but are massively overpriced. Changing the system to make drugs more affordable from the source is the real solution, but Big Pharma and their lobbyists will insure any politician that suggests it will be targeted and unfunded. We are at the mercy of big corporations that are trying to make sure the middle class will never again have an upward path. Support co-ops and local businesses when possible. There are often alternatives if we put a little work into it. The power of the purse is the best way to fight the takeover of our resources.

On top of that now groceries are expected to go up even more because the high gas prices are going to affect the price of delivery charges to the store. Guess who's gonna pay for that?

I can see this leading to being forced to get most medications from mail order & having to drive longer distances to get emergency use medications. The local pharmacist has always been there for free, sometimes life saving advice as well as rural pharmacies being important parts of the community. We seem to be paying more for everything & getting less in return.
