Beginning on Wednesday, September 30th, 2026, the City of Pearla

Beginning on Wednesday, September 30th, 2026, the City of Pearland's Engineering and Public Works Department will begin construction activities at the intersections of Kirby Drive and Discovery Bay Drive as well as Memorial Hermann and Business Center Drive to install intersection signal poles and signal lights.The intersection improvement work is planned to last through Friday, October 2nd, weather permitting. Between the work hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, intermittent impacts to lanes involved with the intersections are to be expected by way of temporary closures and detours.Officers will be present on site to help coordinate traffic flow and ensure safety in the vicinity of the intersections while construction work is being done.As always, project activities are schedule and weather dependent, and subject to change. Drivers should be aware of heavy equipment and construction personnel in the vicinity of the worksite, and be prepared for minor delays resulting from the construction work.The City urges all drivers to please exercise caution while in the area and obey all traffic controls and flaggers.
