UPDATE: Pearland Jugging Victim Says Suspects Followed Her Home First The woman targeted in last week's Pearland jugging case is now sharing her story. She told news agencies she went to a Houston area bank on Oct. 14 to make a deposit and noticed a woman walking in and out without ever going to a teller or customer service. At the time, she didn't think much of it. Police now say the suspects followed her to her home first, then to a Pearland restaurant. While she was eating lunch around 1 p.m., another woman came inside to warn her. By the time she ran outside, the passenger window was already smashed and her passport was gone. She believes the break-in took less than a minute and said she was shocked to learn she had been followed home. The two suspects, Charles Randle and Crystal Lewis, now face charges of jugging and burglary of a motor vehicle, a third-degree felony. Bond was set at $15,000 each in Harris County and $200,000 each in Brazoria County. Court records show Randle has been arrested before for theft, vehicle burglary and organized criminal activity. Pearland police spokesperson Chad Rogers said investigators believe the pair may be part of a larger group committing similar crimes in Houston and Pearland, and police are still working with other agencies on the case. Rogers credited Flock license plate cameras for the quick arrests, saying, "It's very possible they never would've been caught." He also said Pearland has seen more jugging cases lately. Police urge people to stay alert at banks, report anything suspicious, and watch for vehicles that seem to follow them from place to place. If you think you are being followed, police say to call them right away or drive straight to a police station.

Several years ago I had a black suv following so closely it was suspicious,
so I made a left turn onto Cullen and pulled into the PPD station,
the truck swerved around and sped down the road.
I felt relieved and that I'd escaped danger.
I'm glad they were caught! They need to keep them locked up so they can't keep doing the same thing.
I understand people's concerns about the Flock cameras but this is a perfect example of why they are beneficial
My husband was a victim. He went from the bank to Target SilverLake and came out to a smashed window and no cash. Lesson learned!
