Bo French singles out South Asians for not belonging at UT. Bo French does not deserve anyone's vote. He is running for Texas Railroad Commision on the Republican ticket. Despite having no experience to show in the oil and gas field, he is running for this powerful Texas position that regulates the oil & gas industry. He knows you can stamp an R next to your name in Texas & "Bob's your uncle." So to speak. Or maybe Elon is. Bo French's rhetoric has put another vulnerable immigrant population at risk when he suggested people who looked like South Asians didn't belong at UT while they were seen cheering on the football team in the stands. This sort of rhetoric makes Asian Americans & all of us less safe, including our police officers & other people in the community. His Democratic opponent, Jon Rosenthal is an engineer with oil and gas experience. Bo French seemingly has a lack of relevant technical qualification.
With so many dangerous uncapped wells and potential fracking mishaps that threaten our ground water supplies, we need a serious candidate that doesn't rely on vilifying hard working, high achieving fellow American neighbors to try to win votes from people who aren't voting for the most qualified candidate.
