Insight Session with guest speaker Charlesa Bell Gary
The 1867 Settlement Historical District is registered with the State of Texas and is recognized as the only Reconstruction-era Black community in the area. Guest Speaker Charlesa Bell Gary is the president of the African American Historic Preservation Committee and a descendent of one of the first black families to occupy land designated for freedmen in West Texas City.
Ages 19+. 100-person capacity.
