To help raise lupus awareness, the Greater Pearland Area (TX) Chapter of The Links Incorporated recently presented a check to the Lupus Foundation of America – Texas Gulf Coast Chapter for $2,750.
“We are immensely grateful to The Links for their donation, which will help us further our efforts in solving the cruel mystery of lupus,” said Anne-Marie Blacketer, CEO of the Lupus Foundation of America – Texas Gulf Coast Chapter. “Groups like The Links are vital to our efforts of raising more awareness about the disease and ensuring all Lupus Warriors have access to the best possible care.”
Lupus is a chronic, auto-immune disease that can cause pain and inflammation in any part of the body that impacts communities of color nearly 60% more compared to other ethnicities.
“The Greater Pearland Area (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated” is proud to support the Lupus Foundation – Texas Gulf Coast Chapter and looks forward to the day when there is a cure for this debilitating disease,” said Vanessa Carter, President of the Greater Pearland Area Chapter of The Links.
