Traffic Advisory - Broadway/McLean/Walnut Intersection
The City of Pearland began the span wire rebuild for the Broadway/McLean, McLean/Walnut intersection on Monday, March 13, 2023. The rebuild is planned to be fully complete with the intersection operational by Friday, March 17, 2023, weather dependent.
To meet the deadline of being fully functional by Friday, March 17th, the intersection is down and without power on Monday 03/13, lasting through Wednesday 03/15, day and night. The old wires and cables will be removed to allow for installation of the new ones.
The City of Pearland Police Department, Streets Department, and Traffic Operations Department will execute all traffic control for the intersection through the duration of this project. As well, four message boards will be placed around the intersection to alert drivers. See locations below:
1) Westbound on Broadway St, west of Mykawa Rd
2) Eastbound on Broadway St, west of Hatfield Rd
3) At the signalized intersection on McLean Rd at Fite Rd
4) Westbound on Walnut St, east of Veterans Dr
Drivers should be aware of heavy equipment and personnel in the vicinity of the worksite, and be prepared for possible minor delays. The City urges all drivers to please exercise caution while in the area and obey all traffic controllers.
