Swift Water Rescue Training 2023Schlitterbahn Galveston was happy to welcome Pearland Fire Department and Pearland Police Department for their Swift Water Rescue Training. Over two evenings, they utilized the Torrent River and the Whitewater River to work on rescues in different swift water situations. They also had a drone deployed to assist in training. While in the park, they worked on moving against strong currents as a team, throw bag training, and group rescue!The Pearland Police Department thanks you, Schlitterbahn! Using your space for the interdepartmental high water rescue training was a great way to practice their response capabilities. Their team was able to utilize their skills and specialized equipment in real-life high water rescue scenarios.
