Pearland-Tom Reid Summer Teen Volunteer InformationTeens 12 and up, the Pearland-Tom Reid Teen Summer Reading volunteer application is live!! Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Pearland-Tom Reid Branch Library! Applicants must be between the ages of 12 and 18. The application cut off date will be March 31, 2023 or whenever the applicant pool has reached 75.Applicants may be contacted for an interview depending on aptitude and availability. Interviews will be scheduled for Wednesday, April 26, 2023 and Saturday, April 29, 2023. During the interview, you may be asked to alphabetize a book cart, cut sample crafts, and clean baby toys, books or library equipment. After the interviews, you will be notified by phone or email if you have been selected as a Summer Teen Volunteer. Training will take place in May. There will be at least two training sessions, including one Saturday session. If you are selected as a teen volunteer, you are expected to volunteer on a weekly agreed upon schedule of no more than 6 hours. If you are unable to work your scheduled time, you must notify the Youth Specialist by calling the library at 281-652-1687 prior to your absence. If you are absent more than twice without calling and giving advance notice, your volunteer position may be filled by another applicant.
