Voluntary water restrictions in the City of Pearland
Based on continually high water usage combined with the ongoing drought conditions Pearland has been experiencing, the City of Pearland is activating the first stage of their Drought Contingency Plan.
Under Stage 1 of the drought plan, residential and non-residential Pearland Water customer requests are as follows:
1. Voluntarily limiting outdoor watering between the hours of 9 AM and 7 PM, along with limiting irrigating to twice per week on a customer's trash days
2. Voluntarily waiting until current drought conditions are alleviated before establishing new landscaping
3. Voluntarily minimizing and/or discontinuing non-essential water usage
As the city continues to measure water usage and production across the City's facilities, their Public Works department will be making its way throughout the City to adjust all city sprinkler services to align with the watering recommendations above. The City will alert Pearland residents of any change to the current activated stage of their drought plan when the opportunity arrives, for more information visit their website at
