June is National Adopt a Shelter Cat Month
June is Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat Month and, with kitten season upon us, there are more cats in need than ever. If you're thinking about bringing a furry new family member into your home, National Adopt-a-Cat Month may be the time time to do it. Adopting saves lives.
In honor of National Adopt A Shelter Cat Month, the City of Pearland - Animal Services wants to take a minute to recognize some of the cats that have been adopted from their shelter. Have you adopted a cat from them in the past? Drop a picture in the comments on their Facebook page
www.facebook.com/pea rlandpets and give them an update! They would love to see how they’re doing!🐈🐾🐱
One of the struggles of working with animals is that sometimes you want to take them all home and sometime… they do. Milo, Maple, and Pancake were all workplace fails that ended up winning their way into the hearts (and homes) of some of their staff members.
Milo was adopted by Kortney, one of their ACO’s. He was adopted in August of last year as a kitten. He is now a rambunctious teenager who is always looking for trouble (when he’s not sucking on his baby blanket).
Pancake was adopted by their shelter manager, John, this past December. She is a diva and can often be found lounging around in the foyer of her very own Barbie dream house. She is spoiled and her mom has also taught her some cool tricks like how to meow on command.
John adopted Maple in April of this year and she is now Pancakes little (annoying) sister. She is a spunky girl who loves to pester her big sister. So much so that Pancake has officially banned Maple from entering her Barbie dream house.
