Did you know that over 10 MILLION pets are lost or stolen every year?
Did you also know that microchips greatly increase the chances of a lost pet being reunited with its owner?
"What is a microchip" you ask....?
A microchip is a tiny electronic chip, about the size of a grain of rice, that is implanted under your pets skin that is used to help reunite lost pets with their owners.
Here in Pearland, they want every pet to have the best opportunity to be reunited with its owner so the City of Pearland has implemented a city ordinance that requires all pet owners to microchip their pets.
Did you also know that at Pearland Animal Services makes this available to the public for only $25. This makes it affordable for their pet owners here in Pearland to be able to provide that extra layer of security for your furry family members. Make your appointment today by giving them a call at 281-652-1970.
My dogs are chipped, and my phone numbers and my vets number are listed as contacts. My vet has told me anytime she might get a call about my girls she will pick them up and take care of them till I can be reached. Hope I never have to use that feature, but, it is still a good idea to have two contacts listed on their chip information and their ID tag you should have on their collar.
And, try to remember to have your vet scan the area where the chip was implanted when you visit. Make sure it's where it should be. I forgot to ask at our yearly check-up, so when I can handle them again, I'm going to take them up to my vet.
@cocosmom : they are great. They have gotten pretty well known now so recommend setting appt online or calling. I have to get my foster HW tested again to confirm a 100% negative result and it's only $10.00. Got his annual shots and kennel cough vaccine and total bill was $40.00.
