The Pearland Animal Shelter need fostersFostering saves lives. We have all heard that saying but it is so much more than just a saying for dogs and cats living in a shelter. Their dog adoption floor is full and 6 dogs are waiting for space to open up. Several rescue groups have offered to help get dogs out of the shelter and transported up north but their just aren't enough fosters. Most rescues are foster based so they can only save as many pets as there are fosters willing to temporarily take them in. In most cases dogs need to be out of the shelter for about 2 weeks before they can catch a ride up north where they are almost always adopted quickly because the demand is so great.
