Loading Image...

This virtual training for parents, hosted by Harris County Public Health, is to provide guidance to help families protect themselves and others during the upcoming holiday season. The training will cover how to safely and responsibly spend quality time with loved ones while keeping everyone happy and healthy. Presenters will also provide a high-level overview of other health-related services and resources specific to families. The session will conclude with the opportunity for parents to ask any questions related to holiday safety or COVID-19 in general.

The teen has been feeling off for few days, headache, just off. Yesterday, he started throwing up. I took him to the dr. Seems they won't clear him to go back to school till he has a C-19 test. First appointment date? Thursday, with results by 7am Friday. She said, "I am not saying he has it, but, some of the symptoms do follow the path, and he does have some type of virus, now we have to find out which one." Soooo, looks like he may not go back till after Thanksgiving. I really could have made it without this hanging over my head. Oh, and he is now 5'7", and 118. He should start his major growth spurt this year, according to her.

I'm sorry to hear your son is not feeling well. Please don't take stress. He will get better and recover soon. He might just have the flu. I hope his test comes back negative. 🙏 Hang in there. Best wishes to all of you.

Thank you. He feels better today, still not real active. He had his flu shot, I am the only one in the family who hasn't. It seems his dr's office won't write a clear letter for any sick child to go back till they are tested. She said it is what they are required to do? She just didn't say who is requiring it.

I'm happy he is feeling better today. I just posted about the Houston Health department is offering a free flu shot on Saturday. Try to register and go if you can.
