Pediatric Vehicular Heatstroke (PVH) Awareness from Pearland Fire Department
Parents and Caregivers:
With more of us staying home due to COVID -19 it is very important that you secure your vehicles at all times.
It has been documented that of the 10 PVH deaths in the US this year, 5 of them were due to a child gaining access to a vehicle on his/her own.
Please help to reduce the number of pediatric vehicular heatstroke deaths by remembering to A.C.T.,
(A)void heatstroke injuries by never leaving a child alone in a vehicle.
(C)reate reminders to check the back seat each time you park.
(T)ake action. If you see a child alone in a vehicle, call 911.
