A Pearland designer bag business is reportedly moving to downtown Houston due to some recent thefts at their location on the west side.
Sad the owners feel downtown Houston is safer than Pearland.
According to this story on ABC 13 , the owners of Meme's Treasures in west Pearland are relocating their business to downtown Houston after being burglarized twice in the last month.
Meme's Treasures specializes in selling "100% authentic pre-loved designer bags.."
The thieves broke in through a back door the first time (July 22), and then cut holes in the neighboring wall to gain access to the business during the second incident. An estimated $150,000+ in merchandise was stolen in total from both crimes.
Meme's Treasures is offering a $10,000 reward for information on the crimes.
@Stealth83 : Robbery is becoming a common trend on the west side of Pearland, especially in the Shadow Creek Ranch area. You will have to search hard to find any published numbers. Everything is on the hush hush. Once all the apartments are built out I'm sure it's going to be a hard fast decline for the west side of Pearland. I'm waiting for my son to graduate in 4 years and am trying to come up with an exit plan. I Hope my home value doesn't plummet before then.
@Dorothy : You may not have seen or heard anything because that is exactly what Pearland police want. A simple search on crimereports.com shows Multiple incidents in the southwyic Area in the last 6 months. They only do 6 month intervals because they don't want you to be scared of the true numbers
